Are the following sentences suitable with subject small talks!
1. Do you fell the weather is changing too fast during this season?
If we don’t care it at all, we may catch a cold at once.

1. The bottomline for the opener of a negotiation (small talk) are:
a. to creat warmth, consideration and commonality.
b. to find out what their hidden interest, concern and fear are -- or to confirm what you have assumed in your preparation of the negotiation.
2. Based on the above, talking about the changeable weather and reminding him of taking himself well is a good start for your negotiation.
3. As for the latter one, I don't think it's a best opener for your negotiation, unless you want to use it to unearth (dig out) his or her interest, concern or even fear on the subject of your negotiation.
a. Are the following...suitable for the beginning of small talks?
b. ...if we don't know how to take care of ourselves in a proper way, we may catch cold...
c. have you gone to the..., and tried the wheel ride...

Of course, before the negotiation, we have to collect the information about the opponent as well as you can. For example, what types of his company and profession is, or what happens around him recently. On the other hand, in my opinion the best subject as the opener of my negotiation is “breaking news”. “breaking news” is fresh and changing every day. At first, when we have a small talk about the breaking news, maybe we can figure out what type function ways of his thought, or what types of viewpoint he concerns. It is the most simply that we can talk about entertainment, you will be easier to find the common ground, such as, what the favorite sorts the opponent is, what countries he has been gone, or what types of personality he likes. Maybe you can provide the opponent another news relate to his interests, at least, we have already let the opponent likes our in the beginning.
When I pick up my boy-friend, I would also like to talk about the breaking news. As I want to know what type way he are thinking. Sometimes, a lot of news sound like jokes. And I will try to find the common interests between him and me. Maybe we will talk about his family, then I can imagine his relationship patterns.

1. Yes, "breaking news can serve as a good threshold for your "small talk" or so-called "opener of negotioation."
2. However, when you choose the above, they had better be endowed with a purpose -- to dig out something from him or her in order to faciliate your ensuing negoitation.
3. When choosing news, avoid using political news, unless you have been informed with his or her political background. Or, it can be dangerous to your warm relationship.
a. It is always a safe ground for people to talk about life style-related news.
b. ...then I can make out what kind of personality he may have.

1. Hey, how have you been? How is Kathleen? (his wife) and how is your cowboy? (his son)
2. I like your tie. It makes you look so outstanding and energetic.

1. I don't think some of your openers are suitable for the negotiation.
2. "What happened to you?" sounds like 你怎麼了?你有甚麼毛病嗎?
3. "Is there anything wrong?" sounds like 那裡出毛病了?
4. "I was told a big constract was signed due to (because of) your effort."
(a big business deal was done...)
5. "Are you sick?" is absolutely not a good opener for a negoitation.
You may say -- "You look a bit tired. Must have worked too hard. Please take good care of yourself. We cannot make the case (do it) without you."
a. "Congratulations!" Do not use "Congratulation!"
